A cool breeze carry's small droplets of dew through the night air, slowly building up on the grass below
My back flat against the picnic table, I fold my legs and rest my head upon my sore hands, I stare curiously into the ocean of stars
The Earth shields me from the light of the moon and the clouds are all caught up with the wind far off on the horizon
The crickets are my only company for tonight's stargazing, and are providing and original piece for my viewing pleasure
The little pinpricks of light speckled across the twilight blue sky remind me of the over used phrase "paint splattered on a black canvas" and slowly begin to form pictures of old heroes and myths
Soon enough comes a brush, streaking a bright red smear across the other wise motionless piece, and after some time, multiple strokes come to follow
Tonight I watch as the sky lights up with colors of reds and yellows, and even blues and purples
My brain slowly hums a lullaby, while wolves echo it in the distance
Sinking deep into the galaxies vast depths, inhaling the crisp air, my lungs file with bubbling liquid
One last stroke sore from east to west, and I finally come to rest in the cool embrasse of the cosmos, floating softly with images of unknown wonders flashing behind my closed eyelids
This night is a good night indeed

Insomnia
I Finally Realized Why I was so Stressed
Yes, that one guy who hasn't done anything for ... a long time DID do something, he finally realized that a 5 hour long car ride through the mountains of upstate Pennsylvania was a pretty good time to do something, and wrote about the awesome night he had star gazing fro a few days prior, speaking of, did anyone else watch the meteor shower from a few night ago? Pretty beautiful wasn't it?
Also, I apologies if there are mistakes, its sometime late at nigh and I cant be bothered to go over and edit this, is that unprofessional , yes ... yes it is, but then again, when has anything I have ever done been professional, I'm only a hobbyist after all. (It was at that moment the young John realized his excuse was invalid)
So for now,
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are easily the best thing ever made and have a great day.

So much description in such a small piece. I liked the part about the stars and the paints.
This makes me think of an old poem I wrote once... about how a person can look at the stars (as a perspective exercise I read from some awareness book). The object was the person not looking at the stars but looking back at the earth from the sky's view, as if you're lying on the cosmos itself. It was really cool.
